From my childhood, my French grandmother (as a teacher and principal) taught me both the art and science of the French language. She perfected my pronunciation, honed my speaking and writing skills, and trained my ear to notice a beautiful turn of phrase in the language of romance. I am forever indebted to her for not only gifting me with French, but also a lifelong love affair with teaching French to others.
Teaching is my calling in life, and I am committed to the success of my students. I will never tell you that you are right just to make you feel good now. As your greatest supporter in learning French, I will train you to become the best version of yourself.
I have worked for over eight years in French and American curriculum schools such as Alliance-Française, Gibson Youth Academy, Fountain of Knowledge, and Flipper International school. For three years I led the curriculum, wrote the textbooks, and oversaw the program for a new French language program for grades 1-12 for around 10-15 campuses of over 200-300 students each. I have taught and tutored children from K-12 and adults, including international students, embassy officials, and foreign diplomats. I specialize in helping my students pass French certification tests such as DELF/DALF, FLE, etc.
From my French father and Ethiopian mother, I was born and raised in two different worlds. For most of my childhood, I grew up in a top military school in France, but also spent my youth in the vibrant capital city of Ethiopia: Addis Ababa ("the new flower" in Amharic).
