I have been working as a Korean tutor since 2014 at Seoul Korean Language Center in Causeway Bay, HK, teaching Korean language to HK local adult learners and helping them better understand Korean language and culture. Since 2018, I have been working as a part time lecturer at Open University in HK, teaching Korean language and culture to Y1/Y2 student. Moreover, I have designed and prepared lesson plans using authentic materials such as K-POP lyrics and K-Drama segments in an attempt to increase students’ motivation and participation in class. In order to pique students’ interest and enhance focus, I incorporate extensive topics such as personal experiences in past careers, general history, business, etiquette, culture, current issues into the curriculum. To cater to students’ personal needs, I have helped some students who want to enter universities in Korea or plan to take a working holiday in Korea with their TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korea) scores using past exam papers.
