Hello, my name is Birgit. I have been a teacher in one form or another since I was 16. I am a special education teacher, and I have taught German at the college level and as private tutor. I was born and raised in Germany but have lived in the United States for over 30 years.
Each lesson will include grammar, syntax and vocabulary, but we'll spend most of our time talking in German. There are many free sites and apps for German vocabulary and grammar, but learning to actually speak German is best accomplished by engaging in relevant conversation. At the end of each lesson, I'll give you home exercises so you can practice what we covered and prepare for the next lesson.
I love working with all ages—children, teenagers and adults.
