自己紹介

After getting my Cambridge CELTA qualification in 2011 I started teaching English professionally. I’ve lived and taught in China and Poland, both in private schools and online. I’ve taught all ages and all levels but now specialise in adults from A1 to C2 level according to the Common European Framework.

I’ve taught people from all over the world. I am experienced in preparing students for the First Certificate in English and the Cambridge Advanced English exams. I have a non-regional (standard) accent.

My Teaching Approach:

The conversation classes focus on building confidence at holding and leading conversations in a relaxed and fun class built around interesting topics you enjoy discussing.

These are based on either listening or video homework discussed in class or based around pre-prepared power points. If you have something you really want to talk about, we can do that too. You only have to let me know.

IELTS lessons are intended to create a mock test environment where I use past IELTS questions to help prepare you for the speaking element of the exam. I also offer help and support regarding the written and listening elements too.

Pronunciation classes are designed to help improve your ability to speak and listen to English. I am experienced in helping students reduce their accent or simply fix little problems they may have with their speech.

Beginners classes are for you, if you are starting out in English. I have a wide variety of resources and experience teaching complete beginners and novices.

I prefer a communicative method, which means you’ll do as much of the talking as you can. This way you can feel really confident when you’re speaking. I also include supplementary materials which will help you practise the four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening unless you state that you want to focus on one in particular.

The main and most important thing is I aim to make your lessons fun and interesting. If it’s interesting and fun, you’ll learn more effectively.

Basic Lesson Structure:

A warm up chat for 5 to 10 minutes
A discussion based around a video / audio / slide show
Grammar / Pronunciation focus: including correcting your own mistakes
Lesson summary
Your own PDF and / or MP3 notes sent to you after the lesson
