自己紹介

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Summer Darwish. I was born and raised in sunny California, U.S.A. I come from a hard working middle class Lebanese background that rooted my work ethic in giving 100% in everything I do. I am passionate about teaching and helping others with all needs. My passion for English grew as I fell in love with literature and the working styles of various authors such as; Dr. Seuss, Judy B. Jones, Theodore Taylor, Lois Lowry, J.D. Salinger and much more. As I continued my education it was clear that I wanted to dedicate my life in teaching and studying this beautiful language. I have been working as a teacher for over 6 years. My skills allow me to work with beginners as well challenging the higher level students.
I graduated High School and continued my education at Cal State Fullerton where i majored in English Literature. My teaching style is flexible based on the needs of the student. I have a more demonstrator method so not only do I like to lecture but I also put some visual aspects such as multimedia presentations and class activities in order for the students to have a more hands on and meaningful experience in my classroom. I like to end the last 5-10 minutes of my class by reading something such as poetry or a short passage from one of my favorite novels.
I am looking forward to starting this new and exciting journey with you all. At the end of the lesson I would like my students to walk away with not only new knowledge but also the same passion and excitement that i have for English.

I do 1 hour classes as well as 30 minute classes (not including the trial) 30 minute classes are best suited for younger students who can't focus for very long, but everyone is welcomed to changing their 1 hour sessions to 30 minutes.
