7 Gold Rules to improve you Spanish speaking

After all those Spanish classes you have taken, including text books. Do you find that your speaking has not improved? If your answer is "Yes". So then this article can help you to solve your problem.

- Rule #1: stop studying single Spanish words.

Some academic studies prove that studying phrases is better than memorizing single words. It is because in most cases a phrase implies a context which makes it easier to remember and use during real Spanish conversation.

- Rule #2: don't study grammar rules.

It can sound rare, but the explanation to this rule comes from common sense. First, most native speakers of any language don't speak following an exact grammar. So, why would you do it? There is no worry to make mistakes. Additionally, grammar rules make you think about the language when your goal is to speak naturally without thinking.

- Rule #3: listening and more listening.

In most schools teach you through your eyes using textbooks. What if you change it and start learning through your ears? If you start with your listening skills, you will be able to recognize the correct Spanish pronunciation.

- Rule #4: learn slowly but deeply.

Study small-specific Spanish content during a long period of time. Effectiveness comes from this rule because it guarantees you don't forget what you have learned.

- Rule #5: practice with a native Spanish speaker.

Learning a language also means learning a new culture. That is why a native Spanish speaker is indispensable.

- Rule #6: use material with real Spanish.

The best way of learning useful Spanish phrases is reading, watching and listening to what the native Spanish speakers do.

- Rule #7: question and answer exercises.

Find a Spanish tutor and tell him to use the only question and answer exercises. It will challenge you to get used to the language by yourself through creativity instead of being repeating what your teacher says.

Hello! I am DIEGO. I am from Ecuador, I have been living in Medellin - Colombia for 2 years. At the moment, I am studying at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and I work as a private Spanish teacher. For me, it was a challenge to learn English because I did not have the correct methodology. And I know that Spanish learners have many difficulties while learning the language. As a result, I used all the experience I got during my English learning process to teach my native language effectively. For your learning process you will have: - Short and punctual grammar lessons - Text/stories - Audios with mini-stories - Homework assignments - Recommendation of books, movies, and music to practice your Spanish - A lot of real Spanish speaking sessions ***If you want to know a bit more about me, book my 30min-free-lesson***
