I walk around downtown Madrid and I hear English everywhere - British, Irish, Scottish, American accents. There is a fever here about wanting to learn English... for free, preferably. Teaching English here in Spain is, well, quite a challenge, as far as making a living. So, what is it that compels so many English speaking people to come here - I know, I know, the food!
