The Monarchy

Another royal wedding is taking place here in the UK tomorrow. Opinion is divided, with some people excited about this upcoming event, whereas others believe the royal family to be outdated and couldn't care less (aren't interested). Personally, I'm against the idea of a monarchy as I don't like a system in which people are seen as being superior merely because of their birthright. 

If your country has a royal family, are you in favour of it or against it? If you live in a republic, do you think this system is better or worse than a monarchy?
