Hello there! My name is Alexandra, call me Alex. I’m Venezuelan. Teaching Spanish is not just a job for me, is a life experience since every student is different, interesting and a new professional goal. I love to share all aspects of Spanish speaking countries and take very seriously my share of responsibility in your learning process. I have worked as an elementary school teacher but also have taught some courses in universities, so I relate to people all ages. I’m a native speaker of Spanish and also learned English at a very young age. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education. Currently I study a PHD in linguistics. I believe in formal education but also in life experiences that make you a citizen of the world, able to embrace variety of cultures, interests and believes. I dislike boring, repetitive classes, so I like to make individual plans according to your interests, purposes and goals to make it as interactive and fun as possible. Making classes a relaxed and fun time that provides a true and dynamic learning experience is what I look forward to achieve. My classes include formal aspects of the language, small talk, conversation, listening skills, idioms, sense of humor and reading, all of it, flexible enough to be adapted to your interests. I believe every student is unique, therefore, requires a unique approach and is my job to consider, understand and adapt to this.
What makes me the right teacher for you? I`m a very skilled teacher and my methods adapt to your learning rhythm, your requirements and I always provide extra material (documents, videos, games…) to complement your learning process as needed. You are my priority!
