Hola! My name is Erika, I live in Mexico City and I've been a Spanish teacher for over three years to students from different nationalities and levels either in schools, embassies, private, group and online lessons. I have a certificate as a Spanish Teacher by the Cervates Institute, an Associate's Degree as an Interpeter and Translator and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Rights and Peace Management. I can help you with your lessons either in English, French or Arabic and I'm currently learning Japanese.
I always start my lessons asking a little about their week, making them feel comfortable and getting them into Spanish mode little by little. After that, I ask about the last subject and we continue with the lesson or the following topic. I always make and introduction of the subject with the actual use of it in Spanish, we can make a small reading about it and then we continue to the grammar part. Then we use different materials like books, exercises, audios and/or articles and we finally practice a lot with conversation. I love that my students talk a lot and practice, always asking them questions to make them feel confident and relaxed. I am very flexible in the contents of my class since what I care the most is to see what is important for my student.
I can help my students with grammar, pronunciation, Spanish exrpessions, and I also speacialize on tutoring for the health sector, social workers, business language and presentations, and if you're getting ready for an exam.
