My name is Rafah and Arabic is my native language. I teach both Modern Standard Arabic and Levantine Arabic. I have a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Literature from the University of Aleppo in Syria and I obtained a certificate in a course that prepared teachers to teach Arabic to non-native speakers from the American University in Cairo. I am currently taking part in a master’s degree program in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers at a university in Istanbul where I have also given several lectures on the topic. I started teaching Arabic in person in 2003 and online in 2013 and I have since completed over 6,000 online lessons with students from all over the world.
As an instructor, I am keen on making sure that students are comfortable and I always customize my lessons to each student’s needs. In terms of teaching materials, if you have a specific book you would like to use, I would be happy to teach you from it. Otherwise, after an initial lesson I will be able to gain a sense of your needs and I will provide you with the appropriate materials. I can also record the lessons and provide you with audio or video files that you can use to study after class.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
