My name is Allen Legorburu and I am a 36 years old Spanish teacher. As far as my experience is concerned, I started to teach Spanish a few months after I first moved to the United States in 2015. Ever since, I have taught in 4 four schools in which I have been developing my own Spanish program, program that has come to demonstrate very good results, specially thanks to the knowledgeable I have been acquiring by working and simultaneously earning my Master in Linguistics to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language.
What I most like about my job is to see the satisfaction of my students when they realize how fast a language can be learned, or even better, when they see that they are capable of doing much more than what they thought they could be.
Several factors make me a good Spanish teacher. The first one is to be a native Spanish speaker who has devoted his entire life reading and speaking in the target language. Besides, having been a history teacher in Spain has also granted me the skills to become a good languages teacher. However, the factor that has been by far the most important one for me to become a good teacher is the fact that I have been developing my own program for four years, for years that I have devoted countless hours to create my craft and to analyze what it is working or what needs to be changed.
