Hi! I’m Heeyoung, a native Korean tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience, currently living in France.
Having spent half my life abroad, been in international relationships, and raising a bilingual child, I understand the challenges and joys of learning and using another language every day. These experiences have shaped my teaching style: patient, flexible, and focused on turning knowledge into communication.
I help learners of all ages—from teens to seniors, complete beginners to experienced learners—build a strong foundation in Korean. Many of my students continue studying with me long-term because we prioritize depth over speed and focus on steady, meaningful progress.
Whether you’re starting Korean from the beginning or continuing to build your skills, I’ll help you make steady progress through patient guidance, meaningful conversations, and a learning pace that works for you.

My goal is to help you connect with Korean language and culture in a way that fits your interests, needs, and pace.
You may especially enjoy my lessons if you:

✏️ My lessons (55min) and teaching style:
My lessons focus on practical Korean that you can use in real life. Rather than spending most of the time on explanations, we actively use new grammar and vocabulary through meaningful conversations on a variety of topics.
Along with speaking practice, I provide exercises and homework tailored to your goals to help you continue developing your reading, listening, and writing skills. Regular review is also an important part of my lessons so that what you learn becomes part of your active Korean.

In the trial lesson, we’ll discuss why you want to learn Korean, how you’ve been learning Korean so far (if you have already started), and your goals for learning Korean.
We’ll also do some Korean practice based on your level.
