My name is June, and I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with four years of Chinese teaching experience.
My classes are conducted primarily in Mandarin — I speak Mandarin, and so do my students. This applies to beginner lessons as well, as immersion helps you start thinking in the language naturally, without relying on translation.
I was born and raised in Taiwan, so I speak with a standard Taiwan Mandarin accent, what's considered a Southern accent, which means you won't hear the "er" suffix common in Northern dialects. I teach Traditional Chinese characters, though typing-focused lessons can also accommodate Simplified Chinese.
Beyond teaching, I love connecting with people from different countries and making new friends through languages we're still learning, and I know you can do the same!
