I have been an English teacher since 2008, and earned my TESOL certification from UC Berkeley. My students tell me they love my lessons because I am friendly, positive, provide useful corrections, and can explain grammar clearly. They also enjoy learning from my California accent! I will adapt every lesson to fit your needs. Having worked with a wide range of people from overactive 3rd graders to Saudi military personnel, I am very skilled at quickly evaluating student needs and customizing lessons accordingly. In addition to my year of private tutoring, I've taught classroom's in San Francisco and Vietnam.

I love being an English teacher because I love talking with so many interesting people from different counties and cultures. My goal is to help you learn and have fun with this global language. In each class, we will learn something new, but also practice fun conversation on topics that interest you.

In my free time, I love traveling, and have been to 12 different countries including India, Scotland, Thailand, Vietnam, and Ecuador. Different cultures and history are fascinating, and it's great when students can tell me about their countries or governments. I love listening to music and dancing, and sometimes I draw or paint as well. Nature is beautiful and calming, so I often go hiking or go to the beach.
