Writing Centre Respondent

As an academic writing respondent, I have become skilled in providing feedback to L2 learners, both via email, during consultations, and in the classroom. My feedback mainly seeks to improve the higher-order aspects of students’ writing, which promotes the idea of writing-as-process, and de-emphasizes the importance of editing. Ultimately, this role entails improving the academic literacies of students from diverse backgrounds.
