I'm a university teacher with 10+ years of experience in China, the UK, Sweden, Ghana and Germany. I'm excited to offer you high-quality and customised classes.

My background & experience
For more than five years I’ve been working as a German teacher online and as university lecturer for German in China (currently also online). Overall, I have 10+ years of professional experience in teaching, coaching and consulting. I especially love teaching people who are living or would like to live in the German-speaking countries.
My background is in languages (English, Spanish, French, German), international cultural studies, business, leadership and sustainability. I have lived in the UK, Sweden, China and Ghana, and have visited many countries in the world.
The approach you can expect
Besides being warm and sensitive, I'm good at understanding your situation and designing content for you that meets your unique needs. I'm a quite structured and organised person and aim to give you a secure understanding of the German language system.
I also want to support your natural fluency, so in my lessons I'll teach you sentences and ways that help you understand authentic German and support you in speaking German like a native. If you're a beginner, you'll learn, for example, what options there are to say "I understand", "Thank you", "I'm angry" in a natural way. For advanced learners we'll look at related expressions and how they are being used in informal, semi-formal and formal settings. You will be able to pick up as much real-life German as possible in my classes.
Based on my career that spans business, university and teaching, I love the diversity in German teaching. I love to guide you when you're a complete beginner, and I also love to support you in getting familiar with more advanced and formal topics (climate change, robotics, racism, health).
If you're looking for practical help during life, work or studies, I can help you. I've supported people with applying for interviews, working through the bureaucracy in Germany and writing their theses.
