Hello. My name is Wendy and I love meeting new people and helping students build confidence to reach their language learning goals.

Qualifications and experience:
I am a TESOL Certified ESL professional teacher with a Bachelor degree and 15 years of experience teaching adults and children of all levels of English. My native language is English and I have a standard American accent with special training in pronunciation and accent reduction Because I love to travel and experience new cultures, I have taught English in South Korea, China, Vietnam, Mexico, and Thailand. At home in the USA, I have also spent many years teaching English to immigrants and refugees from Asia, Africa, South and Central America and the Middle East.

Teaching Style and Approach:
As a teacher, I am very patient, friendly and energetic, as well as creative and dedicated. I have a clear speaking voice and am easy to understand. I will plan each lesson specifically for each student so we can focus on exactly what you need, usually including speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation. All materials and homework will be created especially for you each class. My classes will be very active, communicative, and motivational so you can practice speaking and be challenged during class. My focus during lessons will be to correct your pronunciation and sentence structure and to introduce new vocabulary as well as to build your confidence. I can also provide you with resources to practice at home. Pronunciation is one of my specialties. Other specialties include conversation and listening practice, grammar, reading comprehension and help with writing. I am also able to teach IELTS and TOEFL Speaking practice. I enjoy working with all levels of students, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
