My name is Annabelle, I'm 26 years old from Israel. During my second year in university, my friend and I started a Hebrew teaching business for immigrants. Israel has a lot of immigrants from different countries and they don't all know the Hebrew language, which can make it difficult for them to get by, at least in the beginning. This experience helped me understand the different needs of people to learn a language, which is why my style of teaching differs according to the specific person. If a student wants to learn how to speak correctly, my lesson emphasis would be on speech (talking about different topics), correct pronunciation and structure. If a student wants to learn Hebrew for the purpose of studying in university, I will make use of textbooks and focus more on grammar and the right vocabulary. It all comes down to the specific needs of the students so they learn what they want and need.
