Sobre mim

Hi, I'm Kit! I'm a native English speaker who holds a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies from Indiana University. I'm a student of German on Verbling with a level of C1, so I know what it's like to learn and become fluent in a new language. I am a masters student in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Eastern Michigan University.

I started teaching English as a Second Language in 2008 for the US Peace Corps in the Philippines. After two years of teaching at a public high school in Imus, Cavite, I came home and started teaching ESL in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. I still teach in-person classes here, and I also teach ESL online. I hold a TESOL Certificate from International Open Academy.

My teaching style is encouraging and helpful. It can be really challenging to learn a new language, so I make corrections kindly and stay upbeat for my students. My approach to language learning is that anyone can learn English if they practice well!
