I was born in a town in Kent, England. When I was 26, I moved to London where I ran my own business and started teaching English to foreign students in the College of Central London. There I taught English to students from all over the world. We helped students develop their English reading, writing and speaking skills. This enabled them to pass their exams. Later, I taught employability at the University of Westminster in the center of London. I helped the students prepare to get that top job, by improving their interview, communication, and networking skills. I also helped them to target their CV’s/resumes, application forms and covering letters to their desired company. I now enjoy teaching English online.
Me as a teacher.
I have enjoyed teaching English for many years, helping students reach their full potential.
I believe that using a company like Verbling where you are talking to a native speaker on a one to one basis, is one of the best ways to learn English. My experience enables me to identify quickly the strengths and weaknesses of my students. I like to teach the subjects that interest the students and enable them to reach their chosen objectives. My enthusiasm and regular commendation motivate the students to work hard so that they can make the fastest progress possible.
My lesson + teaching style
My lessons are structured according to the needs of the student. I can tailor the lessons to help the student to overcome faults in grammar or pronunciation. By helping the student to pronounce English correctly with a neutral accent, they will be able to be easily understood in all English-speaking countries. My lessons are tailored around a variety of lively subjects, the students will increase their vocabulary and find the lessons enjoyable. If, improvement in pronunciation is required, we can start with a series of phonetic exercises. I will teach them how to listen carefully and analyse sounds in the English language and how to imitate the correct pronunciation through guided repetition.
