Hi everyone, my name's Ria and I am most excited to see you here!
I was born in Indonesia and have been raised as a global citizen. I have lived in different countries before and everywhere I go I've always tried to teach Bahasa Indonesia and introduced its culture to the world.

I have taught Bahasa Indonesia in various settings such as mentoring Japanese students in a private university in Chiba, Japan and teaching Bahasa Indonesia to asylum seekers and refugees here in Jakarta, Indonesia.

I love to learn language myself and have been learning English, Japanese and Spanish. I totally understand the challenges, importance and joy in learning languages and I try to make my classes fun and insightful at the same time. I believe learning languages is most effective when accompanied by understanding of the culture where the language is spoken.

In my classroom, you'll find that every lesson is tied to an element of fun and to a cultural context where it is used. Bahasa Indonesia is rich, so I'd like for students to be exposed to the richness of the language. Lessons are customised for each student because I believe students have different needs in the class.
