I am TEFL/TESOL certified native English speaker with five years of professional teaching experience. I have four areas of specialization:

1. Pronunciation and accent reduction: I will pay close attention to your speaking during your demo class and research your native language in order to customize pronunciation lessons to your needs. I believe that it is more important to help a student make their accent comprehensible than to attempt to eliminate it completely. After all, foreign accents can be charming as long as they are understood.

2. Conversation: We can discuss whatever topics are interesting to you! If you don't have any ideas, I have a long list of conversation topics prepared. I have a Master's in Philosophy, so we can have deep philosophical conversations , but we can also talk about simple topics, role-play daily situations such as ordering from a restaurant or asking for directions, or talk about your profession. Through conversation, you will get a chance to apply what you learned in pronunciation and grammar lessons, boost your confidence in speaking English, and learn new vocabulary.

3. Grammar and writing: Correct grammar is the foundation of good writing. I have studied Thai, Spanish, and Sanskrit, so I understand the challenges that come with learning a language with different grammatical structures. I think grammar is very interesting and would love to discuss the differences in grammar between English and your native language. We can also edit your writing together.

4. GRE test prep: I attained score of 164 (94th percentile) in verbal reasoning. I would like to help you get a high score too!
