Hi! I'm an English teacher, journalist, and director of a language exchange camp for children. That means I have a fun side, to help you fall in love with English, and a serious nerdy side, to help you study for the IELTS, prepare for a job interview, or perfect your writing. I specialize in teaching English to native Spanish and Portuguese speakers, but I have also worked with many Korean and Mandarin speakers, among others, and I love to meet students from all over the world!
English is my main native language, and I also speak fluent Spanish, some Portuguese and a little German. I am from Ohio and New York City, but now I live in Mexico, where I teach English to children, teens, and adults.
My lessons/packages include:
*First, I check your skills and needs
*Then I create interactive activities to help you build your skills and enjoy speaking English.
*I give you corrections and suggestions for self-study.
*I send you notes after each class including vocabulary and recommendations, and may include homework.
My formal education: I studied American Civilization at Brown University and Journalism at Columbia University.
My loves: playing soccer, drawing, swimming, practicing yoga, capoeira, and dance, and I love my family: two children (one teenager and one small baby!), my partner, and two dogs <3
Tutored and taught English to children, teenagers and adults of all levels, including IELTS test prep, writing help, job interview practice, and business English, as well as conversation practice and grammar lessons.
