I am from a tiny town in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. I studied Economy and Computer Systems, and then decided to go a more artistic route and study Writing at the SOGEM in Mexico City and Film Direction in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Now I own my own cinematography business in central Mexico. I film on the weekend and teach during the week.
My teaching style is conversation based. I speak English as a second language, and know what it is like to want to speak at a higher level of fluency. Since I have educational and professional experience in so many areas, I enjoy talking about pretty much any topic (Borges, Mexican politics, indie films, spicy food and shoe-string travel are some favorites!). In class, I like to allow my students to speak, providing them with new vocabulary and phrases and pushing them to express themselves more directly and on a deeper level. I have worked with people from around the world- in particular China, Australia, and the US. I look forward to working with you!
