About me 👩
I'm a native English speaker from the UK. I'm from Wales originally, but I've lived in Manchester, England, for over a decade.
I'm a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and learning different things. My hobbies and interests include music, film, TV, sports, current affairs, travel and much more. I'm also a language learner and have learned German, Spanish and Russian over the years.
Before becoming an English teacher, I worked in customer service and office administration. In September 2019, I decided to have a change and do the Trinity CertTESOL. I completed it in December 2019, and since February 2020, I have been teaching online.

I offer the following lessons:
1. General English
2. Chat classes (free conversation)
3. Structured conversation
I use a wide range of materials in my General English lessons, including textbooks, Ted Talk/YouTube videos, worksheets, articles, pre-class and homework assignments. I provide written feedback detailing recommendations on how to further your learning.
I use a wide range of materials in my Structured conversation lessons, including Ted Talk/YouTube videos, worksheets, articles, pre-class and homework assignments. I also provide written feedback highlighting errors and corrections, plus recommendations on how to improve your English.
I do not provide materials in my Chat classes. Corrections and feedback are provided during and at the end of class.
You must complete a placement test before we start lessons. I need to know your current English level and use appropriate materials for your level.
⚠️ I do not offer test preparation lessons. Conversation practice is NOT appropriate preparation for the speaking part of tests. Invest in yourself and book lessons with a teacher who offers test preparation lessons.
If you're looking for help using English at work, I recommend booking Business English (BE) lessons with another teacher. I do not offer BE lessons at the moment, but I hope to soon.
If you're looking for help using English in school or university, I recommend booking Academic English (AE) lessons with another teacher. ⚠️
🚨 LESSON POLICY 🚨
1. New students: Send me a message BEFORE booking lessons, including trial lessons. I will decline your lesson request if you try to book a lesson without contacting me first.
2. You must complete a placement test BEFORE we start having lessons, so I can have an idea of what your current English level is, and I prepare materials suitable for your level.
3. At least 24 hours notice is required for cancellations and reschedules. No refunds if you give me less than that. Please keep reschedules to a minimum (no more than 3).
4. Late arrivals: I won't make up time.
5. Please book lessons for 48 hours in advance. I need time to prepare.
6. I only teach adults.
7. Lessons are 25 and 55 minutes long.
8. I teach on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (1-6 pm UK time).
