About Me

I have been teaching English to language learners for over ten years and I love what I do! I worked at one of the largest ESL adult schools in Canada for over 8 years and taught a wide variety of classes. I currently tutor and teach online writing and communication classes for all ages.
My approach is very student centred--I create lessons to meet your individual needs! I will assess your current language skills, then co-create a plan with you to get you speaking, listening, reading and writing in English in no time! Building fluency and providing feedback is important.
I am a BC certified teacher. I have a Bachelor degree in Education from the University of Alberta, I hold a TESOL Canada certificate, and I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education at Athabasca University. I understand the challenges that language learners face as I lived in Japan and Switzerland where I learned both Japanese and French and love working with students from all around the world.
My experience teaching and travelling have helped me to be a patient, calm and flexible teacher. My goal is to make sure every student is happy and feeling confident. I hope to meet with you soon!
