Hello - my name is Abdullah. I was born in Syria to a Turkish-origin family and carry both nationalities; therefore, I speak both Arabic and Turkish fluently. I have taught Arabic (both classical and colloquial) for over 10 years and have taught Turkish for three years.
I received a BA in Religion from the University of Damascus through which I also developed language expertise - and an MA in Law and Religion from Turkey. I have also participated in several training modules specifically for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. This has helped me develop expertise in pedagogy and language acquisition.
I know very well what people need to develop ability in a second language because I lived the same experience with Arabic and Turkish and myself have gained fluency in both. I would be very happy to help you learn a second language.
I worked in Turkey as a teacher for children with no fluent language ability - therefore, I know what the beginning learner requires in both Turkish and Arabic. I have also taught Turkish to intermediate learners from the curricula available in the The Turkish library
In Arabic, I teach all levels using a range of curricula, based on the needs of the learners. This includes extensive conversation practice for more advanced learners.
The comfort of learners while they attain their goals is my number one objective and the best way to do this is through experience over a number of sessions.
I look forward to meeting you in my lessons!
