Hi, I'm keen on meeting and teaching you. I used to be a journalist. I was a freelance foreign correspondent for German newspapers and radio in Africa, Central Asia and Los Angeles, but, eventually, I felt I wanted to have a more settled life and a more regular income, and I started teaching English. I spent a year teaching ESL at two universities in Saudi Arabia and, upon coming back to Berlin, started giving German classes for migrants. I have been doing this for more than ten years, but feel now it's time to go abroad again. During the pandemic, I'll be based in Berlin/Germany, though.
I am a very experienced, hence a very flexible teacher. I'm good at preparing you for tests -- all TELC levels, TestDaF, Goethe, DSH. I've been a certified TELC examiner for almost ten years, I know what's it takes to pass the damn thing. I'm good at teaching writing. I'm good at teaching conversation, pronunciation, grammar, Landeskunde, you name it.
You can tell me what you want to focus on (i.e. a specific thing in grammar or a skill, like talking) and we work on that. Or we can set up a trial lesson, and we figure out together what your weak spots are, and I'll come up with a plan to get you ahead. I'm very much aware that you spend quite a bit of money on our lesson, so I'll make sure you get maximum bang for your buck.
