About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Alberto Benitez. I’m a Foreign Language Teacher. I’m originally from Málaga (Spain), but now I’m living in Shrewsbury (UK).

I’m a creative and enthusiastic person who loves teaching and learning languages. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in ‘English Language and Literature’ from Málaga University (Spain) and started teaching English and Spanish in secondary schools in 2008. Then, I moved to the UK in 2014, where I now teach English, Spanish and Italian to adults.

Learning a language, to me, is the beginning of a great adventure, where every lesson is a new step on that journey! Learning new things every day and learning from your mistakes will help you gain the confidence that you need to be successful when communicating in the target language. To design my lessons, I always consider your interests and needs, your learning style, your difficulties and strong points… All levels are accepted: from beginners to advanced. Every learner is different and, for that reason, my classes will be tailored to each of you. In my lessons, there are always some essential ingredients: a bit of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, culture and communication. I want to help you develop your language skills at your own pace, doing different types of activities (for example, speaking & listening, conversation, translation, games, reading & writing…) and making them relevant to you, always focusing on what you really need.
