About Me

My name is Miranda I am from Bogotá, Colombia. I am a native Spanish speaker who loves teaching languages. For the past nine years I have been teaching languages to children and adults in Colombia and the USA. One of my favorite things in life is to discuss and learn about language, and how it affects humans, as well as how it helps us connect.

My approach to language learning and teaching is to motivate students by tapping into their interests. Want to learn about comics in Spanish? ¡Excelente! Want to discuss about the latest World Cup and the player's performance? ¡Claro! You also love movies? ¡Súper! We can do this and more in Spanish!

And though my classes come with a fun interesting component, I also like to make room to learn about language structure, to ensure proper communication. So, even though we are going to talk about your favorite recipe, I will ensure you know how to give directions using the correct verbal tense.

I believe we can all be life-long learners if we are motivated to do so. And, I want to ensure everything my students learn, they can use forever.
