About Me

My name is Rita, I'm Portuguese and I'm a PhD student at King's College London. I have taught at both school and university levels and I have extensive experience in private tutoring. I'm very passionate about teaching and I believe that interactivity is crucial to the learning process. When teaching a language, I make sure my students are aware of cultural issues, and I like to use real life materials and examples (music, poetry, newspaper articles, etc) to allow for a genuine experience. I prioritize conversation over long and boring grammar lectures. Above all, I take a practical approach to the language and try to make it fun!
