About Me

Hi, my name is Afra. I am now living in Guangzhou, China. I am a Chinese native speaker who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Recently I am studying French once per week.

I used to study and live in Sydney, Australia for 7 years. I have a bachelor degree in Commerce (majoring in Finance and Accounting) and a master degree in Financial Analysis at the University of New South Wales. After graduation, I have returned to China and joined a foreign bank as a business manager assistant for 5 years.

I am well experienced in the way of teaching Chinese as I am provided many chances to interact with people from different ages, backgrounds and countries. When I was in Australia, I had joined the Chinese club and participated in mandarin study activities, helping UNSW students who were seeking to improve their future employment opportunities to speak, read and write Chinese. Back in China, I have met many foreign colleagues from business and I teach them how to communicate more confidently when doing trade or business in China. Now I teach Mandarin and Cantonese online.

I have a great passion on seeking effective ways of teaching languages. I practice Chinese with my students in realistic situation, through interesting and up-to-date topics. I can teach both Mandarin and Cantonese at all levels, to suit all kind of needs. No matters you are beginners or advanced learners, you going to visit China for travel or business, you are kids or adults. Let me take a good care of you. I will professionally design a tailor-made study plan to help you achieve your goals in an enjoyable and effective way.

I believe learning a new language is a life-time journey; therefore I will take a great responsibility for my students even after the lesson.
