Hello, my name is Ana and I was born and raised in Croatia. I am a native Croatian speaker.
I completed a Master degree in Italian language and literature and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in the capital of Croatia (Zagreb) and, after having finished my studies I immediately started working in a primary school as a school counselor and administrative assistant. Since I wanted to get more experience with other languages, apart from English and Italian, I moved to Spain and I have lived in Spain (Madrid) for 3,5 years. That has given me the confidence to manage and improve my life and professional experience. Since I also was looking forward to advance my career and have already gotten my 6 years experience working in a primary school, going abroad seemed to be the best and logical next step. I worked 2,3 years in a start up company dedicated to educate about Internet of Things projects while being a highly efficient and innovative part of a team.
My teaching style depends on what you need the language for. For example, if you want to understand people and talk to them well , then we would put the focus on the conversational language which includes basic grammar and words (but also the some slang words). On the other hand, if you want to improve your knowledge for some concrete aspect of your work, I will arrange business type lessons based on your needs. To do well the listening part, I will provide you my personal youtube listening audio/video clips with the aspect on Croatian country and the culture in general, so that you can learn about the culture and the language at the same time. Having homework is something that depends on you because my hours are flexible and have an aim to help you in what you really need!
The area of my interest has also been the customer service, and customer's satisfaction, and exchanging business experiences. I am very flexible of working as part of a team or
individually. Languages are my eternal passion.
That would be all from me, really hope we could learn together on Verbling.com!
Stay well,
Ana
