ABOUT ME:
I am enthusiastic professional, experienced language and literature teacher. I am a highly qualified, strategically minded, solution-focused, experienced teacher with excellent time-management skills.
I have the ability to prioritize tasks which means I can produce quality results to short deadlines and be well-prepared in advance in terms of good and appropriate material and teaching techniques by taking target group’s different needs and demands into account.
Although I am very experienced in teaching face to face and online, I am new to verbling!
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
I completed my BA in Language and Literature and did my master's degree in Language and Literature teaching with full scholarship; Bilkent University Scholarship and Fulbright Scholarship, through which I had invaluable opportunities to teach abroad. My BA degree entitles me to teach both English (fluent) and Turkish (native).
I have really enjoyed teaching language to students of different nationalities. We created very good, friendly but professional relationship that still lasts.
I have 10 years of voluntary and 9 years of professional experience in teaching Turkish & English for foreigners.
I have also invaluable experience in international Diploma programs' language and literature sections.
I have worked abroad to teach English Language and literature courses. I have been teaching Turkish for 9 years to adults and young learners, I also have been giving online Turkish and English lessons , and giving online support to students by marking papers and giving feedback.
TEACHING APPROACH:
Approachable and motivational, I can inspire my students to develop their capacity and potential. Highly energetic and enthusiastic, I am a definite starter-finisher with the optimism and drive needed to make a positive difference and can create self-esteem in others. I believe in the importance of the in advance preparation and organization, but by being flexible, I can differentiate instruction and manage problems immediately.
My experience at teaching international examinations from IBDP and IGCSE, and the various courses I attended from these international examining bodies has prepared me to teach students from all over the world. I believe in a student centred approach to learning by giving students choices as part of classroom management, collaborative work, differentiated instruction, motivation and enthusiasm, and meeting different learning styles and needs.
