About Me

Hi there! My name is Gemma and I'm here to help you to get the most out of your English.

I've been a fully qualified TEFL teacher since 2008, specialising in teaching English one-to-one, Business English, grammar and teaching to young learners. After gaining my TEFL qualification, I taught English to children in Taiwan for a year. I also taught Business English and English for specific purposes to groups of adults who needed English for their jobs. I have been working in radio for the past 6 years which means I have a lot of experience with conversational English, pronunciation and presentation - all of which I'd be very happy to help you with if you'd like.

I believe that learning should be fun! Learning any language is hard work, but if you're enjoying your lessons it makes studying the language a lot easier. If you're learning about the things you're interested in, you're more likely to remember them and make quick progress. That's why your lessons with me will be uniquely designed for you. Are you wanting to expand your vocabulary? Is there some grammar you'd like to practice? Have you got an interview in English you want to prepare for? English exams? Would you like to improve your conversational English? I can help you with all of this and any other areas of English you wish to work on.

As an enthusiastic language learner, I feel I'm in a great position to understand any difficulties you may have with English and to help you improve. My lessons can incorporate speaking practice, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, grammar, comprehension exercises and exam preparation. Each lesson is dependent on what you need and we focus on the areas that you want so you can get the most out of your lessons and your English.
