About Me

Hello! My name is Jenna and I am currently a high school English teacher in the state of South Carolina in the USA. I have a bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education with a minor in Creative Writing and and a masters degree is Creative Writing and Pedagogy. I am currently working on getting my ESOL teaching certification as well. I work with a range of students with varying ability levels, including English as a second language learners. I have extensive knowledge on English grammar, literature, speech and writing. In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, swimming in the ocean and trying new foods. I look forward to helping you learn English, or just sharpen your skills!

Now that the new school year is ending, I will have additional availability in my schedule for Verbling lessons. I look forward to helping you reach your language goals!

UPDATE: I have additional availability currently due to Covid-19. I can now accept new students as a result. I work with more advanced English speakers and typically will send you an array of timely news articles that we read and discuss together. From there I help correct pronunciation, answer question about meaning and explain idioms and grammatical structure. I hope I can help you during this very strange time we are facing today!

Edit: I only work with adults, I do not work with or have experience with young children.
