About Me

Hello, I am Josephine, I have about 6 years of experience teaching Dutch and English, online and in person. I am TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) certified. Dutch is my native language.
I have lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina since the last 11 years and enjoy it very much! Previously I lived in Los Angeles, California for 18 years, where I worked at the Consulate General of The Netherlands. My Spanish is advanced but I don´t teach it. However, for those whose native language is Spanish it may be helpful in our class in Dutch or English that I speak your language.
I use different methods, usually it depends on the student which one I use. I balance my classes using grammar, games, audios, texts and flashcards, games and exercises. Learning a language should be enjoyable so I make my classes fun and useful at the same time. I enjoy watching my students progress and become more and more fluent with practice and persistence.
