I have been teaching English on and off for the past 6 years, and I must say that I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have worked for EF, an international language school, and I am currently working for the Spanish Ministry of Education as an English teacher in Madrid. Last year I taught in Palma de Mallorca, and this year I was able to move to Madrid to teach for another year. I have taught in a primary school in Mallorca and my classes have ranged from 8 to 25 students per class. This year I will continue teaching classes of 20+ students in Madrid. I would do fun activities that entertained all the children and ,by the end of the year, one can see that they have made a lot of progress in their English. I have also done many private classes with individuals, and also with small groups of 2 to 3 people. The individuals that I have taught range from all backgrounds and ages. I have taught children as young as 3, but have also taught professionals and young adults. I have worked with people who have little knowledge of the English language, and also with people who have a very high level. I adapt my classes to the individuals needs and always try to make them fun. I do enjoy reading The Guardian and going over articles with my more advanced students, but I also ask the individual what they like and find fun articles for us to work with.
