About Me

Hello everyone.
I'm Vanessa Yepes, I was born and raised in the city of Medellín, Colombia, but currently I am living in United States.
I am a Spanish teacher and a social worker, I have 5 years of experience teaching Spanish. Before moving to the United States, I taught Spanish to people of different ages and different contexts, in public schools as well as in teaching centers for foreigners in Medellín.
Currently I work as a tutor of face-to-face and online Spanish with American people and people from different countries who wish to strengthen their knowledge in the Spanish language.
I am also part of some Spanish groups located in my current city, which teach the language but also important aspects of the Latin culture.
I combine my passion for languages, with love for travel and volunteering locally and internationally, which allows me to be a person open to different cultures and always willing to teach mine.
My classes focus on your needs and interests, doing practical activities that simulate real life situations, I am aware that learning a language is difficult, but with the best tools, support and education can be achieved.
