Today we’re going to talk about Russian pronunciation and the unstressed “О” rule in particular. Сегодня мы немного поговорим о русском произношении, а именно о безударном “О”.
Do you remember the unstressed “О” rule? Yes, it’s when it sounds like a short “A”.For example, the word “вопрос” has the stress on the last syllable, it means that the first “O” sounds like a short “А” /а/; the word’s transcription is /вапрос/= /vaprós/.
