Hey there! My name is Carina and I have been teaching German as a foreign language for over 5 years now.
I was born and raised in the south of Germany but moved to Vietnam to teach German and English. At the moment I'm living in Vienna to study Geography.
Back in Vietnam I offered online tutoring and face to face sessions for beginners and advanced students (age 7-25). At the moment I am teaching only online.
What we are going to do depends on your level and the type of learner you are, but don't worry...my lessons will never get boring!

As a German native speaker with many years of experience in teaching German, English and Spanish, I am very qualified to teach German, especially on high levels and for medical staff. If you wish to take exams, I can train you as I am a licensed examiner for several German exams up to level B2 (telc). My teaching method is very personal and individually-tailored. In the classroom we are told to endlessly study grammar and memorise concepts, however, research shows that language is acquired through authentic experiences. My teaching method is based on Dr. Stephen Krashen´s second language acquisition theory, in which one uses comprehensible input to acquire a language, rather than 'learn' it. Comprehensible language input can be either listening or reading content in your target language that helps you understand the context despite not understanding every word and structure at first. I combine this type of input with additional learning material to enhance your listening skills and the learning process. With this method, you will notice faster progress while learning how to speak more like a native, and most importantly, acquiring German will be a fun experience rather than a tedious drill.
