- About me Hi! My name is Amanda Christiansen. I’m originally from Copenhagen/Helsingør and currently work as a Danish lecturer at the University of Vienna. I have been teaching Danish as a foreign language since 2016 and truly enjoy helping students discover the language and culture. I hold a B.A. in Teaching Danish, an M.A. in Scandinavian Studies and an M.A. in Teaching Danish as a Second/Foreign Language for Adults. As someone who loves learning languages myself, I know how exciting – and sometimes challenging – the process can be. Because of this, I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive and confident learning environment where you feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes.
