I am an English-Spanish translator and teacher currently living in Spain. I first started teaching at NIU, Illinois, USA, as a Teaching Assistant, and once I graduated from my Master's degree I started to work as a Court interpreter and translator. After a few years I came to Spain, where I am teaching English and Spanish, while I still work as a translator (specialized in Psychology). The most common kind of lesson plan I use includes:
1. Everyday English - We will ask each other common everyday English questions: "What time is it?", "What day is it today?", "How's the weather?", "What did you do today?"
2. Reading (+vocabulary, comprehension, and discussion)
-We will take turns reading a news article.
OR Grammar (beginning/ intermediate/ advanced)
- we will work on one grammar module per lesson
3. Conversation (topical or casual) - We will take turns asking each other questions about any topic, or we can just have an open conversation.
We can incorporate grammar, writing, listening, spelling, dictation, travel English, exam practice, or interview preparation as needed.
