Dialect Vs MSA

Hi everyone, I always have a question in mind, as I have lot of students, and each student have a different experience with Spoken Arabic, and I would love to hear from your perspective and experiences as well:
"Do you think learning a dialect is easier than learning the MSA, or it's the opposite?"
