The difference between listen and hear
4 years agoHearing requires no effort, you don't have to make a conscious effort to hear. You physically experience the sense of sound.
Listening requires effort. You make a decision to listen. Listen + to + (Object)
Examples,
I can't hear you, Could you speak up?
My grandfather likes to listen to the radio.
