Hello everyone! My name is Sebastiano Alessandroni and I am an Irish teacher living and working Rome. I was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved here at the age of 7! My father is Italian so I am native in both English and Italian. I attended St Georges International School and completed both GCSE and International Baccalaureate diplomas. In 2012 I attended Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. I received a Bachelor of the Arts Degree with a final score of a higher level 2:2. During the same year , not knowing what to do with myself after my degree, I decided to start teaching, which I thought was a great way to work whilst travelling around the world. In October 2015 I completed my CELTA teaching certificate and later on that month I began teaching at a private institution in the city centre. I worked there for approximately 1 year before I decided to create my own ESL centre (You & I English Cultural Association). I enjoy physical sports and played rugby for most of life at both professional and amateur levels. I competed in mixed marital arts, practicing boxing, Muay thai and Brazilian Jiu Jiutsu.
In terms of my teaching style I adopt a method based on the individual. I believe, in order to successfully teach someone, you need understand their personality, how they assimilate information better and how to deliver the lesson. I have worked in a lot of Summer Camps from 2011 all the way to 2015 and schools which tend to impose one methodology for all their students. However, I now realise that this is impossible to carry through , as different students will learn in different ways.

Lingue Mirlis is a private institution were teacher would teach up to 40 hours a week. We taught students from the ages of 5 until the over 60. Lessons could be individual, semi individual or group lessons. For some time aswell we were also sent around Rome to teach at various businesses.

We also organise various events such as English Cinema night, English Aperitif night, Cinema Nights for children and much more.
