I've been teaching English for over 6 years now. In that time I have taught students aged 3-21 and beyond in all sorts of settings, from 1-on-1 classes to summer camps, and classes with 4 students all the way up to 55!
In the classroom, students can feel relaxed and comfortable when I teach. I like to have a playful and friendly approach to teaching. If learning is fun, then students are more likely to engage with the material and continue learning in their own time.
Having taught primarily Chinese students, I am able to identify phonetic problems people will have when learning English as a second language. For example there is no "th" sound in Mandarin Chinese, so I provide useful drills to help overcome this challenge.
At Washington I taught many classes of ages 7-13 with about 8-20 students. I also had a single kindergarten class that I taught multiple times a week where we were able to form a strong bond and make really good progress through games, writing, drawing, and music.

Huihua Callege of Hebei University - Shijiazhuang, China
I currently teach university classes with around 32-50 students each. Using media and unique homework assignments, I try to foster a love of using English and show the students that learning can be fun.
