👋 Hello! My name is Duilius, and I am delighted to welcome you to my Latin course on Preply.
I am a Classical and Neo-Latin Philologist, deeply fascinated by Neoplatonism and the Florentine Renaissance milieu.
Drawing upon a native-like fluency in Latin (C2), I am able to immerse myself directly in the literary and rhetorical essence of ancient and humanist texts.
Together, we will explore the beauty of the Latin language and its literature, overcoming the barrier often imposed by vernacular languages. 🏛️📜
🏛️ Academic Background: I hold a Master's Degree in Cultures and Religions from University La Sapienza and a Bachelor's Degree in Christian and Classical Letters from Pontificia Studiorum Universitas Salesiana.
My mastery of classical languages was further honed at the Vivarium novum Academy, where I received intensive training in spoken Latin.
👨🏫 Teaching Experience: I implemented the direct method for teaching Latin as a living language to international students for many years. My methodology facilitates immersive learning environments focusing on classical authors such as Virgil, Cicero, and Horace, and promotes the daily use of Latin for communication and cultural exploration.
