I'm 32 years old and I'm half French and half German. I'm a native speaker of both languages, grew up in both countries, and have dual citizenship.
My interest in American culture motivated me to start learning English by myself when I was a teenager. After a few years I reached a native speaker level and acquired a nearly perfect accent by having frequent conversations and constantly watching content in English.
Since then, language learning has become my main passion in life. My success with English motivated me to do the same with Japanese, Korean and Mandarin Chinese. After having lived in Japan and Korea for several years, I reached an advanced level in both languages.
What my students consistently appreciate about me is that I'm a great conversationalist and listener, but also my international background (especially for English speaking and Asian students), my extensive teaching and learning experience (fluent in 5 languages) and my ability to make my students feel confident and engaged during my lessons, no matter if they are absolute beginners or have an advanced level.
Moreover, I have completed two teaching certifications: the CELTA and the DAEFLE. They taught me a lot about teaching techniques and how to plan and teach formal lessons while giving me many practical skills that I apply every day in my lessons.
ABOUT MY LESSONS :
Be it in the context of informal or textbook based lessons, having meaningful conversations (or simple interactions as a beginner) and listening/reading in the language as much as possible, like a child learning its native language, is a guarantee to success. This is the reason why my lessons and teaching style are based on this principle.
As your teacher I will guide you, motivate and encourage you to keep learning, and help you as much as I can in the learning process by making it as fun and engaging as possible.
I want to show you my perspective of language learning : an incredibly fun, rewarding and enriching hobby, and definitely not a boring study activity!

During our trial lesson, if you're not a beginner, I will first have a short conversation with you in French to get a good idea of your current level.
After that I'll ask you a few questions to find out about your motivations, learning style and preferred lesson type, so we can set up a plan that will allow you to reach your goals.
We can also discuss self learning methods (so you can learn by yourself effectively between our lessons) and I'll suggest ressources that match your needs.
